Documentation is a high cost factor in design and verification of complex systems. There are many options how to set-up and interlink the different documents. Special formats have been developed for efficient cooperation between industry and ESA and NASA. The contents of the documents are to be tailored to its objectives and purpose (often not properly understood) to ensure a powerfull, contractually reliable position depending on Your responsibility.
